Stronger Speed potions with aims of making more types in the future

What is Potent Potions?

This is just a little project I made for a survival friendly way to give yourself the speed to autoclick when making wide bridges, such as a long straight road for example. You throw two speed II potions in a cauldron and make a speed III! Two speed III's and you make a speed IV, all the way up to 16! That means one XVI (16) speed potion requires over 16,000 speed 2's, so making it balenced for late game survival minecraft players. Each level, duration goes up by 1.5x too, so one speed 16 potion will last for 3.2 HOURS.

Why make OP potions?

Firstly, as far as I can see, this is the first survival datapack that introduces super strong, exponential potions. I've been scouring Modrinth & Curseforge for ages, finally deciding to make my own.

I play a lot of Minecraft, and build many a megaproject on my server. I play minecraft so much that RSI is a real problem when building, and I do all in my power to make minecraft safer for myself so I can play for longer (pro tip, minecraft has a stupid arbitary payer speed. set your speed to 0.116 or

/attribute @p minecraft:generic.movement_speed base set 0.116

and you can move forward and hold down right click to place blocks forever without a having to raise a finger).

Worried about Performance?

I've made the datapack use as few ticking commands as possible, 3 to be exact and two of them are for users to summon/remove the markers needed for the location of the potion brewing. If you want an even more stripped down function for admins to use /function instead to build these markers. I can provide you one (or just go into the tick.mcfunction and remove the first two lines, leaving the last line.

How to use Potent Potions?

I recommend making them in a cauldron, so jump up into one, and use

/trigger summon_potion_marker

(don't see the trigger, get someone to /reload for you!). afterwards, all you need to do is throw two speed II potions into or near it, and VOILA! The illusive speed III. You can remove The marker if you'd like, just use

/trigger remove_potion_marker

Optionally, downlaod the resource pack which enables all English language formats to use speed names (like Speed XVI) instead of Speed.potency.14, for example. It's optional is it's just a visual fix to Minecraft's gross code format beyond level 12

This is my first datapack, so please be gentle with me 🥺 Give me feedback however (comments in Curseforge, bleh)! I'm thinking of adding haste brewing up to level 5? some other effects are really fun at high amplification, so I might make some more.
