Added

• Owners can no longer hurt their own pets by accident: melee (incl. sword sweep), projectiles, and harmful thrown potions are cancelled
• Covers all ownable animals: wolves, cats, parrots, horses, donkeys, mules, llamas (and modded tameables extending vanilla)
• Sneak-to-bypass: crouch while attacking to hit your pet on purpose (configurable)
• Optional protection from ALL players (protectFromAllPlayers, off by default)
• Entity blacklist by id (entityBlacklist)
• In-game config screen (Cloth Config), reachable from the mod list on both loaders
• /petshield reload op command — hot-reloads config/pet_shield.json on dedicated servers without restart
• Server-only install supported: vanilla clients can join normally
• English + Spanish localization

Fixed

• Sitting pets no longer stand up when a blocked hit lands (vanilla orders pets to stand before damage events fire; the sit order is restored within the same tick)
