Overview

SpyParty is a 1v1 strategy game in which a Spy attempts to blend in and complete tasks while evading the detection of the Sniper. This map/modpack is an in-depth recreation of the game, including custom NPCs, several maps, countless Spy actions, Sniper features, and the same stressful feeling when the Sniper is watching you swap the statue.

The map isn't perfect, so if there is any issues, please use /function spygame:game/reset.

If you wish to use the Spy outside of the map, you can use /disguise to toggle and /disguise if you want to toggle a specific disguise. For Sniper, you can use /sniper.

Note: This download includes a map with a custom datapack, a built-in resource pack, and a custom mod.

How To Play

When the game begins, the Spy is disguised as 1 of 20 NPCs, and the Sniper orbits the map. The Spy has 4 minutes and 30 seconds to complete 5 required tasks, and the Sniper must keep track of many elements of the map at once to ensure the Spy cannot complete their tasks.

As the Sniper, you can highlight/lowlight NPCs to keep track of cleared or suspicious NPCs. You can move side-to-side in 2 of the 3 maps and you can zoom in to get a better look at farther away details. You can disable the safety, changing your zoom to a sniper scope, and then your next click will eliminate the selected NPC. All controls are listed in the waiting room and they can be changed at anytime in Settings.

As the Spy, you must complete 5 specific tasks while blending in with the NPCs. First, 'Bug Ambassador' requires you to be near the Ambassador and put something on them. Secondly, 'Contact Double Agent' requires you to talk in a circle with the Double Agent, which will play a sound. Third, 'Flirt With Seduction Target' requires you to find your seduction target, flirt with them, and do this until the progress bar fills completely. There is a 30 second cooldown between flirts. Fourth, 'Purloin Guest List' requires you to take the guest list from the waiter which makes a visible change. Finally, 'Swap Statue' requires you to pick up and change one of the statues, which makes a visible change. You can also add time to the timer by checking your watch at a balcony. Your available actions will appear in your hotbar and will change depending upon your situation.
