So… what the hell is Logicore?

Good question.

I made it myself, and sometimes I'm still figuring it out.

It started because I wanted to learn Java. In the meantime, I decided that storing cobblestone required enough processors, disks, server racks, generators, and cables.

And well, here we are.

The network storage concept was inspired by Applied Energistics 2. The rest grew out of my interest in hardware and things I've experimented with in real life. I want building the network to be part of the fun. Looking at your server room and actually understanding what every single piece is for.

───

What can you do in Logicore? Build your digital storage DSDs are disks you install in racks, with capacities ranging from 64 MB to 1 GB. The space used depends on the Digital Size of the items. Recipes also factor into the math: crafted objects inherit the size of their ingredients, divided by the output quantity. Because of this, turning nine redstones into a block won't make the space they occupied disappear.

Connect your existing chests The RWB Interface (Read/Write Bus) lets you connect chests, barrels, and shulker boxes to the network. Items stay inside those inventories. The terminal allows you to view and move the contents through the network.

Store fluids in tanks

Water and lava deserve proper storage too.

Tank Capacity

Glass 5 buckets

Stone 15 buckets

Iron 60 buckets

Diamond 180 buckets

In Logicore, 1 m³ equals one bucket. Each tank holds a single type of fluid and can be connected to the network via an RWB Interface. Fluids appear in the terminal, where you can deposit or withdraw them using buckets.

Set up the processing

LPUs are the network's processing cores. Thread Modules are physical blocks you add in straight lines, supporting up to eight modules per LPU face.

Each task is assigned to a core, and that core's threads can cooperate to process the requests. The goal is to give you a reason to build and expand your hardware as you use the network.

Use a terminal with actual room to work The Data Terminal gathers available items and fluids into a 9 × 7 grid view, featuring search, smooth scrolling, and sorting by name, category, or digital size. It also includes four saved crafting targets and recursive crafting: the network can plan the required intermediate components, provided there are compatible recipes, ingredients, and room for the output.

Power it all

The network requires energy, provided by redstone, coal, diamond, and Nether Star generators, featuring two tiers per family. The DERM Console consolidates network management functions, including data organization and idle power saving. And yes: if the power runs out, your requests stop too.

Learn in-game

Press L (it's the same keybind as achivements so, put in mind that you need to change it) to open the Logicore Interactive Guide. It includes explanations, a search tool, and interactive 3D models to help you understand how to assemble the infrastructure. Because trying to guess how a machine works based solely on its texture has its limits.

And get out of the server room

There are also fuel-powered Base and Pro jetpacks. They won't help you organize your chests, but they will help you reach the top of the facility you just built.

───

It's still in Beta

Logicore is still in active development. Systems are being tweaked, textures are being refined, and there is probably a bug waiting for a combination of blocks that nobody has tried yet. This description applies to Beta 1.12.2.1. Ideas for future versions will be shared when they are ready. Just to avoid confusion

Logicore has absolutely nothing to do with LogiCycles.

Different mod, different developer, different code, different mechanics, different direction.

There is no affiliation or connection between the two projects the similar name is just a coincidence.
