Invincible Pets

OVERVIEW

Invincible Pets adds 3 vanilla-friendly crafting recipes to your world, the resulting items allowing you to make your tamed Wolf, Cat, or Parrot Invincible.

Core Features

• Adds 3 Items: "Fishy Treat", "Boney Treat", and "Seedy Treat"
• Adds vanilla-friendly crafting recipes for above items (all three recipes consist of the pet's respective taming food surrounded by any combination of eight flowers in a crafting table)
• Sneak-Interacting with any tamed pet while holding their respective treat will make that pet immune to all forms of vanilla damage

Toggleable Features

• Petal Particles: Disable to remove the periodic cherry blossom leaf particles that spawn around invincible pets
• Creative Protection: Enable to make invincible pets immune to damage from players in creative mode as well
• No Player Hostililty: Enable to make wolves unable to target other players as attack targets in multiplayer servers

Additional Notes / Info

• item only successfully applys to an already tamed pet
• by default, players in creative mode will still be able to damage invincible pets
• players in survival or adventure mode will be unable to target or damage invincible pets, there are no damage ticks or hurt noises
• use the /reload command when in a server to add all invpet crafting recipes to all online players' recipe books
• using an invpet item on its corresponding pet applys the invincibility effect to up to 5 pets of the same type in a small radius / for best results on a single entity, make sure no pets of the same type are nearby

Useful Management Commands

• /scoreboard players set value wolvesdontattackplayers 1
  • makes wolves unable to target other players as hostile (takes ~1 minute to go through)
• /scoreboard players set value noparticles 1
  • disables periodic (30 sec) cherry leaf particle spawn around invincible pets
• /kill @e[tag=invpet,distance=..5,limit=1,sort=nearest]
  • kills the nearest invincible pet within a 5 block radius
• /execute as @e[tag=invpet] run tag @s add invpetclear
  • makes all (loaded) invincible pets no longer invincible (takes ~1 minute to go through)
