Reaction speed now shapes the fire behaviours
A PlayerMob's reaction speed already decided how quickly it noticed and committed to everything else; now it shapes the fire behaviours too. Quick-reacting mobs draw and stow flint and steel faster, recover faster from a light that fizzles, and snap out of the double-take before stamping out a fire in their path. Slow ones dawdle through all of it. A default mob behaves exactly as before.
- Drawing and stowing flint and steel is quicker for a fast-reacting mob, slower for a sluggish one
- A mob that fails to light the ground re-arms sooner or later depending on its reaction speed
- The hesitation before punching out a fire in its path — and every water-bucket swap — is now reaction-scaled
- Give-up timers, the cooking burn time and the rate limits are untouched, so a fast mob never quits early or turns into a flamethrower

Reaction speed — the third PlayerMob trait
PlayerMobs are now born with a third trait alongside fight/flight and friendliness: reaction speed, 0-10, visible and editable in the Creative menu. It doesn't change what a mob decides, only how fast it acts — so two mobs with identical nerve can feel completely different in a fight.
- Quick mobs block point-blank arrows that a sluggish mob simply eats
- Reaction speed sets how fast a mob commits to a shot and how quickly it re-fires
- Being hit no longer turns a mob instantly — slow ones take a beat to round on you
- Spotting items, chests, crops and loved ones scales with reaction speed
- Chores speed up or drag: block-laying, chest looting, harvesting, door handling
- The five archetype spawn eggs each get a reaction speed suiting their character
