iceNslice's Simple Fireflies
A performance friendly datapack that brings a more immersive nighttime experience with the addition of fireflies!
Simple Fireflies is a lightweight and performance firendly datapack which aims to brings back fireflies to Minecraft. The pack emulates what this feature could have been if Mojang went through with the idea:
- Fireflies will spawn in appropriate biomes at night...
- ...only if the player is close to vegetation...
- ...with fully customisable settings coming soon...
- ...and a custom ressource pack!
To access the configuration menu, use the command: /trigger fireflies.options set 1
This will open the configuration menu where you will be able to chose wether a setting is turned ON of OFF but clicking [Yes] [No] after the setting's description in chat.
Please note that a ressource pack is needed to obtain the best results while using the datapack. The texture is common to copper block interactions and glow squid ambient effect and could cause compatibility issues with other ressource packs.
