Version 1.7.0
- Merged both Goatman variants into one Forge 1.20.1 mod jar.
- Added the Cave Goatman as a second entity variant inside the same mod.
- Both Goatman variants now load from one mod with their own models, animations, textures, sounds, and entity registrations.
- Regular Goatman now spawns on the surface only.
- Cave Goatman now spawns underground and in caves only.
- Both variants can exist in the same world at the same time.
- The two variants are now able to overlap sometimes instead of being forced to alternate every single spawn cycle.
- When both variants are eligible to spawn, overlap is random rather than guaranteed.
- In multiplayer, the Cave Goatman can avoid choosing the same target player as the regular Goatman when another valid player is available.
Spawn Changes
- First spawn after world load now happens after 30 seconds.
- Later spawn cycles now use a 112 second timer.
- Spawn cooldown chance was removed, so spawns are more consistent.
- Spawn checks now allow spawning during both day and night.
- Regular Goatman can now spawn from day 1 onward instead of being blocked by daylight conditions.
- Spawn chance is now guaranteed once the timer is ready.
- Spawn attempts were increased to improve reliability.
- Spawn range was tightened to a 30 block radius around the target area.
- Minimum no-spawn distance from the player was lowered, so spawns can happen closer.
- Path-to-target spawn validation was disabled to reduce failed spawn attempts.
Regular Goatman
- Regular Goatman health is now 100.
- Regular Goatman movement speed is now much faster.
- Regular Goatman sight detection now uses a field-of-view style visibility check instead of near-perfect direct aim.
- Regular Goatman sight-trigger behavior is now weighted toward chase, while stare and flee can still happen.
- Regular Goatman stare behavior now keeps looking at the player.
- Regular Goatman standing/spotted animation is used while staring.
- Regular Goatman chase no longer keeps hard look-lock once the target has already seen it.
- Regular Goatman flee behavior no longer constantly keeps looking at the player.
Cave Goatman
- Cave Goatman health is now 500.
- Cave Goatman movement speed has been increased from the older slower versions.
- Cave Goatman movement speed is now set to 1.0 in the current build instead of 0.35.
