Fast and Better Vanilla

What’s New

Fast and Better Vanilla (FaBV) has received a comprehensive maintenance pass and a full version update. The entire modpack was reviewed, cleaned up, and optimized. Several mods, resource packs, and shader packs were removed, updated, or replaced to improve stability, performance, and long-term maintainability.

Added and Changed Mods

Extended Xaero Zoom Added a mod that significantly increases the maximum zoom level. The zoom limit was improved from 0.006 to 0.00025, allowing for much deeper and more precise map inspection.

FakePlayer Chunkloader Added the FakePlayer Chunkloader mod, enabling players to keep farms and other systems running while away. Usage is straightforward via the /fakeplayer command and its available arguments.

Chunk Loading Improvements Additional mods were introduced to further optimize and stabilize chunk loading behavior.

Crafting utilitys Added a mod that helps when crafting. It does allow to spread, remove or move the items arround.

JEI(Just Enough Items) was added insted of REI (Roughly Enough Items).

Resource Packs

All previous resource packs were removed.

A custom resource pack was created specifically for this modpack. It will be published on Modrinth after the authentication process is completed.

Shader Packs

Shader packs were temporarily removed in this release due to an omission during packaging.

They will be reintroduced in the next version.

Settings and Configuration

General configuration and settings were thoroughly reviewed and optimized.

Significant adjustments were required for Minecraft 1.21.11, but the result is a noticeably smoother and more stable experience.

The debug screen was cleaned up to be more private and less cluttered.

Summary

This update is a general patch and upgrade that moves the modpack to Minecraft version 1.21.11, bringing new game features, better performance, and a cleaner overall setup.
