Fast and Better Vanilla

Major update. This release upgrades the modpack to Minecraft 26.2, streamlines the mod list for improved stability, expands the shader and resource pack collection, and applies an extensive configuration overhaul.

Fast & Better Vanilla 4.5.1 Minecraft 26.2 Upgrade The modpack has been fully upgraded to Minecraft 26.2 with the latest stable Fabric loader and API releases. All included mods have been updated to their newest compatible versions for this engine.

Mod List Cleanup & Stability To reduce redundancy and improve overall stability, several mods have been intentionally removed:

• Removed BadOptimizations — Overlapping functionality with Sodium and ImmediatelyFast
• Removed Better Ping Display — Consolidating HUD elements for a cleaner interface
• Removed BoxLib — Library no longer required by any included mod
• Removed C2ME — Chunk optimization primarily beneficial for servers, not client-side singleplayer
• Removed Chunky — Server-side chunk pregeneration tool, irrelevant for client use
• Removed Collective — Library no longer required by any included mod
• Removed Coordinates Display — Functionality covered by other HUD elements
• Removed Crafting Tweaks — Not aligned with the vanilla-focused design philosophy
• Removed Entity Culling — Native entity culling is now handled by Sodium 0.9.x
• Removed Fake Player Chunk Loader — Replaced by Chunk Loaders for better compatibility
• Removed Krypton — Network optimization with negligible client-side impact
• Removed Lithium — Client-side impact on multiplayer servers is negligible; removing it reduces potential conflicts
• Removed Nether Coords — No longer needed on this version
• Removed Packet Fixer — No longer required on Minecraft 26.2
• Removed PAS — Not aligned with the vanilla-focused design philosophy
• Removed Wayfix — No longer needed on this version
• Removed YOSBR — Default options are now managed directly via configuration files

Version Notice This release officially moves the modpack to Minecraft 26.2. The upgrade was made possible as the mod ecosystem has stabilized on this version, offering improved engine performance and better long-term compatibility. All settings and configurations have been rebuilt from the ground up specifically for this release.

The modpack description has already been updated to reflect the new version. Gallery images and screenshots will be refreshed and uploaded at a later date to match the current release.
