The Barely Modded: Server pack is the multiplayer companion to the Barely Modded Client Pack.
It builds on the familiar vanilla Minecraft experience with tweaks, mechanics, and lightweight content that enrich community play — all while staying true to the vanilla feel.
Perfect for community servers, this pack adds quality-of-life improvements, fun building tools, and light progression changes while keeping things balanced and accessible — 100% compatible with vanilla clients.
⛏️ Polymer Integration: Adds server-side custom blocks and items — no client mods required! Seamlessly expands what’s possible on a pure vanilla client, powering new decorative and gameplay content. See the list below for mods taking advantage of Polymer.
A collection of small but impactful features, many inspired by Vanilla Tweaks:
Barely Modded: Server is designed to be the “next step” for communities who enjoy vanilla Minecraft but want better tools, better worlds, and better ways to play together — all without losing the game’s core simplicity.
Modpack is available on Modrinth, but can be easily installed on any hosting service that supports custom jars. Naturally it can also be installed on Modrinth Servers using it's built-in modpack installer
Every release of a modpack provides extra file named server.jar. Just download it and run it like any other Minecraft server (see MC wiki for running it locally, or follow your server hosting tutorial about using custom jars). Only thing you will need to do is to accept Minecraft's eula.
You can use mrpack4server just as it's described in it's readme. Officially provided server.jar uses pre-configured version of it set to download the pack, so there should be no functionality difference aside of having to set it up manually.
Other known methods of installing modrinth modpacks include mrpack-installer, itzg/minecraft-server docker image or any other compatible installer, though I wouldn't suggest using them for non-technical users.

It’s still Minecraft… (Server Pack)
