Explosion Wands
A fun mod that adds a variety of explosion wands to the game. Use at your own discretion!

This will be the last version I backport to, since the Fabric template I used doesn't support the Official Mojang Mappings past 1.14.4, and I'm not going to rewrite the code just for this reason.
I originally wasn't planning on backporting past 1.21.11, but figured I'd give it a try just so I could share my mod with more people. I was originally going to stop at 1.20, but decided to just do "one more version" to see how far I can get. And yeah, I'd say releasing it for all the official releases of the newest version all the way down to 1.14.4, while keeping the mod as close functionality and quality wise to the version it was originally made for (up until 1.15.2) is pretty impressive.
It also taught me a lot of what goes into backporting, finding clever solutions with the limited number of functions and variables you have to work with and just understanding modding more, so I'd say it was 100% worth it, despite the headaches that came with it.
Could the time I spent on backporting to 1.14.4 have been spent doing literally anything else, like porting it to Forge instead or straight up making a new mod? Yes, absolutely. But I had a lot of fun doing it and making it available for as many people as possible, along with going down a trip through memory lane (bees were introduced in 1.15... at the end of 2019??????), so it was 100% worth it!
Now time for what changes from this version compared to 1.15:
- The use animation is the standard stock one, since I couldn't figure out a way to make it consistent
- A lot of the wands have gotten a reduction in the number of fireballs or PrimedTnts that they shoot out, along with their explosion power, since the explosion particles are crazily badly optimized in this version, and reducing the explosion power makes there be much less particles, which in-turn makes the game not crawl as much to its knees when using one of the explosion wands
- TNT Exploding Entities Wand:
- Bees -> Magma Cubes
- Other miscellaneous small changes I'm too lazy to list
