The Oathbound Update

New Content

• Added Oaths; Oaths are a new type of Contract/"Give Away Your Soul" item that work in a Unique way. Instead of being a wildcard item that's useable on multiple devices, it has one purpose that's set out from the start. It has Two Signers, a Beneficiary and a Swearer. There are multiple Oath Types:
  • Tribute: The Swearer forfeits half of all XP they gain directly to the Beneficiary.
  • Loyalty: The Swearer cannot sign Oaths with anyone else except the Beneficiary.
  • Protection: The Swearer absorbs 20% of all damage dealt to the Beneficiary, as long as they remain within 20 blocks. This cannot kill the Swearer.
  • Vengeance: If the Beneficiary is killed, the Swearer receives a temporary combat buff.
  • Hospitality: The Swearer is granted free passage into any Obelisk claim owned by the Beneficiary or their faction. This can be used by Faction Members to add a New Member to the Obelisk, behind the Obelisk's owner's back.
  • Succession: If the Beneficiary is Perma Killed, the Swearer inherits a Testament of Succession, claiming ownership over their devices and pets.
  • Service: The Beneficiary may summon their Swearers at no XP cost via a Wandering Tablet on any Waystone.
  • Fealty: The Swearer is can no longer damage the Beneficiary.
• Added Oathbinders; To activate an Oath, it must be placed on an Oathbinder. They also work as Pedestals for other items.
• Added the Benefactor's Grace. It's a Ring that makes you dodge the attacks of players that you hold a Dominic Contract of. (Currently Uncraftable)
• Redid some of the Nether Roof Structures. They'll now include some Dominic Bricks, making the blocks be obtainable without the need of a Dominic Orb.
• Added Dreadrock; A Cobbled Bedrock kind of block that's found on the Nether Roof. It also has 2 variants, that get progressively more "glitchy".
• Added the Dreadrock Citadel. It's a new Big Structure that's found on the Nether Roof. Currently it doesn't have anything that cool to offer except the Dreadrock blocks. But it'll be a point of interest in the Future.

Fixes

• Fixed an Issue related to the Left Arm Rendering.
• Fixed some bugs related to the Custom World Border/Barrier.
• Added some Command Suggestions
• Fixed the Swapper being able to move certain blocks that it shouldn't.
• Other Fixes too...

Misc

• The Idol is getting Removed. In Dominium 0.9, the Idol will be fully removed, and until then you have time to claim back the Netherite Ingot it cost you to craft it. You can do that by simply putting the Idol in a crafting slot.
  • Q: Why is the Idol being removed?
  • A: It became Outdated with this update. The Fealty Oath and the Benefactor's Grace now do what the Idol did, and it'd be pretty awkward to have 3 things do the same thing.
