Distant Floating Islands
A minecraft worldgen datapack to create sparse floating islands over a large ocean, wholly customisable (with guide)
To get started, here's what this datapack can and can't do: DOESN'T: Affect the End or Nether Guarantee acces to survival resources (ores, structures, mobs) Guarantee only water oceans (some sheets of ice, modded biomes may change water colour) Guarantee a land spawn (islands are just too far apart)
DOES: Work with mods and modded biomes (as long as the mod isn't a worldgen mod) Work with Dynamic Trees IF you reorder the datapacks to put DynTrees' at the top Do its best to include every biome Overwrite the overworld (you have been warned)
This pack is intended for use with creative mode building projects, so I have not attempted to make it function in survival. That said, you are welcome to try!
I am not likely to port this to other versions unless heavily requested, so leave a comment with the version you'd like to see! I can't guarantee of course but if enough people want a particular version I can port it :)
