1.21.9: Get an iron chain.

I want chainmail armor to be cheaper than iron armor.

Download Craft More Chains, a mod/datapack that gives you 2 chains from the chain recipe instead of 1. This makes chainmail armor cheaper than iron armor.

Comparison between Iron Armor and Chainmail armor with Craft More Chains:

Helmet	5 iron ingots	3.0 iron ingots
Chestplate	8 iron ingots	4.8 iron ingots
Leggings	7 iron ingots	4.2 iron ingots

Total	24 iron ingots	14.4 iron ingots

So crafting a full set of iron armor costs 24 iron ingots, while a full set of chainmail armor costs only 15 iron ingots, which is a fair price.
