Chroma Tools & Utilities

This update introduces several new features to Chroma: Tools & Utilities. Most notably, it adds a new pet with a completely unique mechanic, as well as the Soulcaller Bone, a new Crystal Relict. In addition, various existing items and pets have been adjusted and refined.

Pets

A new pet arrives with this update, introducing a completely new mechanic: it does not move at all. At first glance, this may sound rather underwhelming, or even useless.

Eagle Artillery

The Eagle Artillery is the first stationary pet, meaning that once deployed, it will no longer move. At regular intervals, it launches three extremely fast projectiles high into the sky, which then crash down with immense force, striking hostile mobs within a massive radius. However, caution is advised: players and passive mobs caught near the impact zone will also be affected by the area damage.

With these characteristics, the pet is anything but weak. It is particularly well suited for defending bases or protecting farms.

Eagle Artillery

Zappie

Zappie has received minor balance adjustments to better match the effectiveness of the other pets.

Sparky

Sparky has received a slight reduction in effectiveness to better align with the other pets. The shot sound has also been lowered slightly, and an additional firing sound that was previously inaudible due to the high volume has been removed.

Floaty

Floaty has received minor balance adjustments to better match the effectiveness of the other pets.

Items

A new Crystal Relict has been added that can summon helpers to fight alongside the player.

Soulcaller Bone

The Soulcaller Bone is a bone infused with the souls bound to Soul Sand. It has the ability to summon lost souls, calling forth three wolves equipped with wolf armor to fight alongside the player.

Gale Scepter

The additional End Rod particles accompanying the Wind Charges have been replaced with Snowflake particles.

Blocks

A new ore variant has been added.

Celestial Ore

This update also introduces a stone variant of Celestial Ore. This variant does not generate naturally and exists for completeness only. Previously, only a Deepslate variant was available.
