!CORRUPTED UPDATE
After many months, the next major update has finally arrived: Version 3.0.0. Centered around the theme of Corruption, it introduces a full set of new tools and related content all at once. Chroma is now also available for versions 1.21.9–1.21.10 as well as 1.21.11. The entire Modrinth page has also been fully rebranded with new graphics and updated descriptions. Previously, it had remained unchanged since the very first release.
Corruption awakens and plunges the world into chaos. Watch the new update trailer to discover what has happened and what lies ahead. The update introduces a powerful new set of tools that surpass previous tiers, enhanced further by refined visual effects that give them a distinctive presence.
A powerful new pet has been introduced with this update.
Dylago, a pet inspired by the Pokémon Dialga, has an unusual backstory. After losing Dialga during a Pokémon Soullink Nuzlocke challenge with a friend, it was added to the mod as a lighthearted tribute. The concept turned out so well that it was ultimately developed into a full feature.
It has the ability to fire a projectile that chains between nearby enemies, allowing it to deal tremendous damage across multiple targets.

This update introduces four new craftable tools: a sword, a pickaxe, an axe, and a shovel. Each of them features animated visuals in the Corruption style and produces entirely new particle effects during use that do not exist in vanilla Minecraft.
The Corrupted Ingot lies at the core of the Corrupted class, as it is required for all related recipes. Players can obtain it by cleaning and brushing the appropriate ore.
Corrupted Splinters can be obtained by mining the corresponding ores. After being cleaned, they yield a highly valuable ingot.
The Corrupted Upgrade Template is required to upgrade tools. It is currently obtained through crafting, although a new acquisition method more fitting for the Corrupted class is planned for the near future but did not make it into this update in time.
The Corrupted Music Disc allows the main soundtrack of the Corruption to be played. It features an adapted version of "Gang-Plank Galleon" from Donkey Kong Country.
Deepslate Corrupted Ore is a new ore block found at the very bottom of the world, embedded between layers of bedrock. Its rarity and the difficulty of farming it due to this extreme location make it exceptionally valuable.
The stone variant of Corrupted Ore does not generate naturally and exists as a Creative-only item.
The ores of the older classes have also been adjusted and now require significantly less time to mine.
This update marks the first release available across multiple game versions. Chroma was never updated to 1.21.9–1.21.10, and with 1.21.11 now released, the mod has been ported to these versions as a one-time effort to ensure coverage. How long support for these older versions will continue remains uncertain.
Several additional crafting recipes have also been added.

Chroma’s presentation has been fundamentally redesigned. After remaining outdated for many months, the description now features visually appealing graphics and a more generalized structure that focuses less on specific features. As a result, it requires far fewer updates and serves as a much more universal overview of the mod.
This update lays the foundation for further expansions of the Corrupted class. Armor and additional tools will follow to complete the set, along with various adjustments and quality of life improvements such as advancements. A Corrupted boss is also planned for the Upgrade Template, with more details to be revealed in the future.
Update releases have been inconsistent in recent months, but this is set to change. Going forward, a Chroma update is planned for the end of each month. These updates will generally be larger than the previous three smaller updates per month. Development efforts are now spread across multiple projects, placing greater focus on overall quality and long term progress, while still ensuring a steady flow of new content.
