Chorus Bloom Propagation
Chorus plants in the End slowly spread and colonize nearby end stone over time, creating organic expanding forests. The growth rate varies based on proximity to end gateways.
Chorus Bloom Propagation
This datapack introduces autonomous chorus plant expansion across End islands. Existing chorus flowers have a small chance each game tick to attempt spreading to adjacent end stone blocks within a limited radius, planting new chorus flowers that grow naturally.
Propagation Mechanics
The spread rate varies based on proximity to end gateway portals:
- Near gateways (within 48 blocks): Significantly increased propagation rate
- Far from gateways: Much slower spread
This simulates dimensional energy influencing growth intensity.
Long-Term Effects
Over extended server runtime, End islands gradually become more densely forested with chorus plants. Frequently visited areas near gateways develop lush chorus forests while distant islands remain sparse, creating natural variation in landscape and resource availability without requiring player interaction.
Performance Safeguards
The system includes a maximum density check per chunk to prevent lag-inducing infinite growth. Propagation halts when chorus plant density reaches the threshold.
