What is ChatX

ChatX is a modernized channel-based chat system that is compatible with backend inputting plugins, contains features that could only be done on the backend previously, and provides multiple channel types and features!

• All messages support Minimessage!
• You only need to install this on your Velocity proxy! No backend plugins are required.
• Extremely configurable: You determine what the plugin does!

Features

Channels

• Multiple channel types: Local, Global, Cross-server (Redis-based), and even private chat rooms
• Permission-based channels: Each channel can have custom permissions for sending and receiving.
• Insanely customizable: From the type of the channel to if we should pass through the message to the backend, or even quick prefixes such as '!', everything can be configured to anything.

Chat modules

• Mention: You can always type @someone in chat to make them hear a 'ding' sound to wake them up.
• [item] to show what is in your hand, even with a GUI. No backend plugin is needed for this.
• Rate-limiter and mute systems integrated into the system to prevent abuses. You may also use other plugins of your liking to achieve this; ChatX should respect their decisions.
• /chathistory to view chat history in all channels
• /msg and /reply for private messages and quick reply

Cross-server

• Set up a simple redis server for cross-server messages
• You may create cross-server channels, and /msg can be used to directly message someone in another server.
• /online to see who is online

Plugins supported:

• Luckperms: permission management & per-channel permissions
• PAPIProxyBridge: custom placeholders

Known compatibility issues

• If you are using LimboAPI, please set its compatibility mode in its config.yml to true for it to work properly with UniChat.

The plugin aims to be compatible with most plugin on velocity (except other chat formatting plugins, of course), so if you found one that doesn't works with UniChat, please add an issue-tracker on the github page or contact me through email: jason31416@163.com
