Catrifice Mod adds a dark ritual path for turning cats into strange soul-based resources. Build an altar, store the result in a Depressifier, and use Cat Souls to craft bottles, bombs, upgrades, and demon-themed cat variants.
Features
- Cat Souls liquid: a pink liquid with black cat souls drifting through it.
- Demon Cat Souls liquid: created when lightning strikes a filled Depressifier, or a lightning rod above one.
- Cat Soul Altar: a multiblock ritual structure that captures cat souls when a cat is killed on the center altar block.
- Depressifier: stores Cat Souls and Demon Cat Souls, supports bottles and buckets, has upgrade/filter/redstone tools, and visually shows liquid inside the block.
- Soul bottles: drinkable Cat Soul Bottle and Demon Cat Soul Bottle items that grant Reincarnation.
- Reincarnation effect: lets players survive fatal damage like a totem. Demon soul reincarnation lasts longer and can teleport players to safety near an End portal when used in the End.
- Demon cats: crimson and warped demon cat variants, created by touching normal cats with Demon Cat Souls buckets.
- Wooden Heart drops: demon cats can drop Wooden Hearts when killed.
- Cursed bombs: Weak Cursed Bombs and Heavily Cursed Bombs are TNT-like blocks with stronger custom explosions.
- Energy and fuel support: Cat Souls buckets and Demon Cat Souls buckets can be used as long-burning fuel and converted into Redstone Flux-style energy through Team Reborn Energy support.
Getting Started
Craft and place a Depressifier underneath the altar center, then build the altar structure with obsidian on the sides and soul soil or soul sand at the corners. When the altar is complete, kill a cat on the center block to drain Cat Souls into the Depressifier.
Use glass bottles or buckets on the Depressifier to extract stored souls. A full Cat Souls Depressifier can be transformed into Demon Cat Souls by striking it with lightning or by placing a lightning rod above it and letting lightning hit the rod.

This mod is intentionally ritual-focused and a bit cursed. It adds custom liquids, blocks, items, effects, recipes, demon cat variants, and a pixel-art mod icon under the catrificemod namespace.
