This mod/datapack adds 10 new whips to the game. They are medium range precision weapons, where you can only hit entities with the tip of the weapon (e.g. a Flint Whip has a maximum range of 4 blocks and minimum range of 3.2 blocks).
Whip range and damage scale with their tier, meaning that a weaker whip has a closer minimum range than a stronger one:
Every whip has the same attack speed of 1 (for comparison, swords have 1.6)
They have 2 new enchantments (together with unbreaking, mending and fire aspect): Juggling and Retreat. The first gives you a chance to throw your opponent into the air, making them easier to combo; the latter throws you back, so you gain space.
Lastly, there are the support whips!
They aren't the strongest whips, but each has a unique use.
- The Ocean Whip gives you dolphin's grace and conduit power
- The Resin Whip gives you resistance
- The Flow Whip gives you speed and jump boost
- The effects of all of these 3 accumulate duration, from 3s to 9s
- The Honey Whip covers hit targets in honey, slowing them and nearby entities for 6s
