General
MCreator
We have moved away from MCreator and rebuilt large portions of the mod from scratch.
Many systems were rewritten to improve performance, stability, and long term maintainability. The codebase is now cleaner, more optimized, and easier to expand in future updates.
Expect some things to be incompatible with the previous versions, some things might disappear! Make sure to create a world back-up just in case.
Roll System
We have fully reworked the Roll System:
- Added new configurable UI elements.
- Introduced new rolling animations.
- Updated invulnerability frames: the player is now invulnerable during the first 7 ticks of the 14 tick roll animation.
- Roll trajectory can't be changed while rolling, so the initial input direction matters.
- Roll no longer increases player speed. It will not cause extra sliding on ice or other slippery surfaces.
- The ability is now more deliberate and predictable.
Structures
- Boss structures now contain Vaults and Trial Spawners.
- Re-did the Underworld Dungeon and Arena.
Items
- Removed Ancient Iron and Ancient Iron Nuggets.
- Items that used to be repaired with ancient ingots now get repaired with normal iron ingots.
- Reworked Dragon Armor. It now includes active effects such as retaliatory fireballs and an explosion triggered on heavy landing.
- Added Ancient Vault Keys, used to unlock Vaults in boss structures.
Bosses
- Every Boss now has a unique name!
- Added our bosses to the
c:bossestag.
Helvar, The Underworld Knight
- Increased boss HP to 280.
- Added new spawn and death animations. Invulnerability Rework
- Phase 1: 1 invulnerability stack per 50 percent HP.
- Phase 2: 1 stack for the first 50 percent, 2 stacks for the remaining 50 percent.
- Stacks can be removed by striking the boss during an active Vulnerable Mark. Combat Updates
- Added a full second phase with transition animation.
- Introduced structured attack patterns and more predictable behavior.
- New attacks include:
- Welcome attack
- Light attacks
- Heavy attacks
- Combo attacks
- Rift attacks
- Ranged attacks in Phase 2
- Ultimate attack sequence
- Added Vulnerable Marks. When triggered, they knock the boss down.
- Boss now closes distance if the player moves too far away.
- Repeated heavy attacks may cause the boss to enter a temporary stuck state. Dungeon Update
- Added a large boss door to the dungeon.
- The door requires a special key found within the Underworld dungeon.
Skor, The Yeti
- Added new spawn and death animations.
- Added a second phase transition animation. Combat Updates
- Introduced multiple new attacks, including an Ultimate Attack Sequence.
- Reworked several abilities in the Skor Yeti kit and implemented structured attack patterns.
- Ranged Control: Boss uses ranged attacks to influence player positioning.
- Ice Barrage: New ultimate attack.
- Leap Smash: Now spawns icicles from the ground on impact.
- Ground Smash: Now spawns icicles from the ground on impact.
- Hand Swipes: Apply frost effect in Phase 2. Equipment Update
- Reworked the Skor Yeti Gauntlet. It now features multiple epic abilities inspired by Skor’s core ability kit. Fixes
- Resolved multiple known animation issues related to the boss’s leg movement.
- Resolved multiple known damage/animation sync issues.
Ashlord, The Infernal Dragon
- Added new spawn and death animations.
- Added a second phase transition animation. Combat Updates
- Introduced pattern based behavior.
- Wall Phase
- Melee Phase
- Flying phase
- Boss behavior now changes based on HP thresholds, with more predictable attack patterns.
- Reworked fire breath and fireball attacks.
- Adjusted flight patterns to reduce excessive arena destruction.
Sirok, The Sandworm
- The sand worm will patrol the area around its spawn point now. Combat Updates
- Improved Projectiles.
- Introduced multiple new attacks:
- Earthquake Attack
- Chase Attack Hitbox System Rework
- Each worm segment now has its own individual hitbox. Armor Break Mechanic
- If a segment takes excessive damage, it cracks open until the boss dives underground.
- Striking a cracked segment again causes the worm to spill poisonous blood at the player.
- Cracked segments are visually reflected on the boss model. Combat Readability Improvements
- Added ground markers to telegraph incoming underground attacks.
- The worm is now visually visible while swimming underground, allowing players to see its approach. Equipment Update (Sirok Gauntlet)
- Improved its projectile toss ability.
- Added a new Earthquake ability.
