Block of Sky Refabricated

Simply adds a block that renders the sky.

This mod's name and original idea are based on Block of Sky - Minecraft Mod by LuminaSapphira - Modrinth. This project is licensed under LGPL-3.0.

What has been done in this version

This is a complete rewrite of the mod for the current Minecraft version, not a 1:1 port. Only the name and the general idea (a block that shows the sky) have been kept from the original. Everything else has been rebuilt from scratch:

• The entire rendering pipeline is custom-written for the current rendering system, using custom shaders and a cubemap-based sky capture instead of the original's approach.
• All textures are original, made specifically for this version.
• Several new block types have been added that did not exist in the original mod (see below).

Blocks in this mod

• Block of Sky — renders the sky of the dimension you are currently in, matching the current time of day and weather.
• Block of Void — renders the End Gateway effect.
• Day Sky Block — always renders the sky locked to daytime, regardless of the current world time.
• Night Sky Block — always renders the sky locked to nighttime, regardless of the current world time.
• Glitch Sky Block — renders the current sky with a distorted, glitched visual effect.
• Glitch Day Sky Block — renders a fixed daytime sky with the glitched effect.
• Glitch Night Sky Block — renders a fixed nighttime sky with the glitched effect.
• Interactive Sky Block — a touch-sensitive sky block: stepping on it, walking through it, hitting it, or hitting it with a projectile makes it flicker off for a moment and emit a redstone signal. The effect spreads outward to nearby Interactive Sky Blocks in a wave, with increasing delay based on distance.
• All sky blocks are redstone controllable.

Compatibility

Sodium is recommended, however the mod should work without it. Iris shaders are supported and won't cause crashes or break other rendering — the sky block itself just won't render its sky effect while a shader pack is active.
