Better Update Suppression

How to Use?

1. Download BetterUpdateSuppression-1.0.1jar and place it in the mods folder
2. Use the command to give yourself the update suppression block

   /give @s better_update_suppression:update_suppression_block 64
   

   or craft using 1 detector and 8 redstone dust
3. Build the structure before performing update suppression (using a nether portal as an example)
4. Place the Update Suppression Block directly adjacent to the block that needs to be suppressed
5. Right-click the Update Suppression Block; when the center gray part turns red, it is activated
6. Break the obsidian! This will trigger update suppression, and the nether portal will not break
7. Right-click the Update Suppression Block again to deactivate it; the center red part will turn back to gray
8. Break the Update Suppression Block
9. Repeat the process to remove all the obsidian (accidentally missed one)

Important Notes

1. Update suppression can cause server crashes at best and world corruption at worst. Back up your save before using it!!! Extremely important!!!
2. How to avoid server/world crashes?
   • Enable update suppression crash protection in carpet mod
   • Do not place two Update Suppression Blocks directly adjacent to each other, even if they are not activated
   • Operate slowly and carefully, do not rush
