Better Stonecutter
Adds more recipes to the stonecutter, allowing you to change more easily between block variants and waste less resources.
Features
In short, it makes the stonecutter more useful by adding more recipes by it, always respecting vanilla mechanics. Some general things this datapack allows you to do:
- Recut items (for example, you can cut stairs into slabs or walls, or slabs into walls)
- Cut copper, iron, and gold blocks into copper/iron/gold items
- Cut packed mud into mud bricks
- Switch between stone types more easily (stone into cobblestone, deepslate into cobbled deepslate, polished and smooth variants into regular blocks, etc.)
- Deoxidize and dewax copper blocks in the stonecutter
To avoid flooding the stonecutter UI, some blocks with a lot of variants (deepslate, stone, blackstone) are not given all possible recipes directly. Instead, they are only given the recipes for the smaller blocks of the same variant and the equivalent blocks of other variants, which you can cut then into smaller blocks if desired.
For a full-ish list of recipes, please check my website. It would take too much space here.
There's an alternate, more over-powered version of this pack available for download in my website.
Notes
- The recipes were designed taking into account Vanilla Tweak's Back to Blocks datapack, I recommend using that datapack along with this one to make the most efficient use of blocks.
- The Cuttable Wood datapack extends this same philosophy to wooden blocks. I recommend using them together.
