The Customization Update!

This is a massive architectural update for BasicsMod! We've completely overhauled how the mod handles messages to give server owners unparalleled control over the look and feel of their server.

✨ New Features

Complete Message Customization!

    A new configuration file, message_formatting.json, has been added to your config/basicsmod folder.

    This file contains every single message that BasicsMod sends to players, from command feedback to error messages.

    You can now customize the text and color of the entire mod to match your server's theme perfectly!

    Supports both standard color codes (&a, &l, etc.) and hexadecimal color codes (&#RRGGBB) for over 16 million color options.

    All messages use dynamic placeholders (like %player%, %home_name%, etc.) to provide contextual information.

Vanilla Messaging Override Option

    A new setting, overrideVanillaMsg, has been added to main_config.json.

    By default, this is set to true, meaning BasicsMod will handle /msg, /tell, /w, and /reply.

    If you prefer to use Minecraft's default messaging system, you can set this option to false.

    Important: A server restart is required for this change to take effect.
