Azmine is here! Arctic’s Vein Miner has officially been rebranded to Azmine, now maintained under Azora Development.

This update introduces a full rebrand, new mining patterns, HUD and preview improvements, safer defaults, config migration for existing users, and multiple stability fixes while keeping the original fast and controlled vein mining behavior intact.

⚠️ Important Rebrand Notice

• Arctic’s Vein Miner is now Azmine.
• The mod ID changed from avm to azmine.
• The config file changed from avm-common.toml to azmine-common.toml.
• Existing avm-common.toml configs will be migrated automatically once on first Azmine launch.
• Remove the old AVM jar before installing Azmine.

✨ New Features

• Column Pattern – Mines a vertical stack of the same exact block type above and below the target block.
• Strip Pattern – Mines a 1-wide × 2-tall strip forward based on look direction, useful for branch mining.
• Improved Preview Highlighting – The target block now has a brighter cyan outline, while extra blocks use a softer preview color.
• HUD Block Count – The HUD now shows an approximate count of blocks selected by the current preview.
• showHud Config Option – The HUD can now be disabled separately from preview outlines.
• Legacy Config Migration – Old AVM configs are migrated to the new Azmine config path when possible.

⚙️ Config Changes

• maxBlocksPerOperation default changed from 256 to 64 for safer out-of-the-box behavior.
• Added showHud to toggle the on-screen HUD.
• Added allowStrip to enable or disable the Strip pattern.
• Added allowColumn to enable or disable the Column pattern.
• Config reload handling now supports both config loading and reloading events.
• squareSize validation now enforces odd values from 3–15.

🎮 Keybind Improvements

• Activate vein miner: ` / grave accent / backtick
• Cycle patterns: Left Alt + scroll
• Replaced the Left Shift default to avoid sneak conflicts and improve usability.

🔧 Stability Fixes

• Pending mining operations are now cleared when ultimine is deactivated or the selected pattern changes.
• Fixed stale vein operations that could run after releasing and reactivating the key.
• Improved delayed breaking behavior so failed positions are not incorrectly dequeued.
• Added fractional durability handling, so durability multipliers below 1.0 now work correctly.
• Logout cleanup still clears player mining state.
• Updated deprecated ResourceLocation usage.

🎨 HUD & Preview Improvements

• HUD now shows:

  • Azmine version watermark
  • Current pattern
  • Preview block count
  • Alt + scroll hint when cycling patterns

• Preview rendering now uses a shared cache for HUD block counts and world outlines.

• Preview selection behavior remains unchanged; only rendering was improved.

Azmine keeps the original controlled vein mining design:

• Fast manual bulk breaking path
• Drops attempt to enter the player’s inventory first
• Exact-block vein matching
• One clustered sound/particle effect per operation
• No per-block audio/particle spam
• No ore-tag or log-tag grouping by default
• No destroyBlock() bulk-breaking rewrite
