Arcanum Unbound is a dark-fantasy magic mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge) focused on personal power, dangerous knowledge, and unstable progression.

This is not an ore-grind magic mod.
Power comes from mastering mana, sigils, relics, corruption, and forbidden soul mechanics.

Core Features

Mana, Instability, and Corruption

Each player grows around a personal mana profile. Strong magic always comes at a cost: high-output casting builds instability, and Abyss corruption is part of the core risk-reward loop.

Modular Sigil Magic

Spells are built from sigils in a dedicated interface. Cores, forms, and modifiers combine into different costs, behaviors, combat roles, and late-game builds.

Progression Through Knowledge

Deeper magic is unlocked through key items, milestones, and survival choices. You do not start with full control over the system.

Artifacts and Relics With Tradeoffs

Artifacts roll unique identities with powerful strengths and dangerous flaws. Weapons, relics, rings, and other wearable pieces support real build variety instead of simple stat stacking.

Soul Mechanics and Death Manipulation

Forbidden rituals can store power in soul-bound objects and alter how death works. In multiplayer, this creates high-stakes interactions and dangerous long-term consequences.

Weapon Imprinting

Rare imprinting allows existing weapons to be branded with special materials through smithing. Different materials create different combat identities rather than acting as simple upgrades.

Rare World Discoveries

The world hides deeper magical finds, including warped geode materials, structure relics, and the ultra-rare Deepwater Abyss biome with its own hostile life.

In-Game Guidebook

A full in-game guidebook provides progression help, crafting references, boss guidance, and system explanations, making the mod learnable in survival without depending on external wikis.

World Style

No new dimensions. Vanilla structures still matter.
