Applied Smelting

Three new machine tiers, full tier progression across every machine, JEI/Jade support, a Crucible terminal tab, and a complete visual overhaul for all four machines.

New machine tiers & progression

• Every machine (ME Smelter, ME Blast Furnace, ME Smoker, ME Crucible) now has the full Mk1-3 tier progression, upgradeable in place with a universal Upgrade Template → Mk1 → Mk2 → Mk3 kit chain. Upgrading keeps everything a machine was doing - cards, pinned recipe, in-progress work, fuel, and queue position all carry over.

New visuals

• Redesigned all four machines with new AE2-styled textures, each with its own distinctive front (a rounded viewport, a vertical grill, a bubbling molten basin, and a robotic face) and Iron/Gold/Diamond tier-themed variants.
• Added a status-reactive ✨ emissive glow to every machine's front, cycling color while active and fading with machine status - the same effect as AE2's own ME Controller.
• Refreshed the ME Smelting Terminal screen with live status indicators for all four queues.
• Rebuilt the Fuel Efficiency Card and upgrade kit icons to match AE2's own item style.
• New mod logo, rendered directly from the in-game textures.

Terminal

• The ME Smelting Terminal now has dedicated tabs for Smelting, Blasting, Smoking, and Crucible, so all four machine types' queues are managed from one terminal. The Crucible tab shows molten metal output as a fluid and lets you pull it straight from ME fluid storage.

Integrations

• Added optional JEI support - every machine's recipes show up in JEI, and every machine tier can be clicked to jump to its recipes.
• Added optional Jade support - looking at any machine shows its status, current item, progress, and fuel level in the tooltip.
• The ME Crucible's molten metal output now works with any mod's c:molten_<metal> fluid tag automatically, with its own fallback fluids otherwise.

Fixes & performance

• Fixed Fuel Efficiency Cards over-consuming lava at fractional rates.
• Fixed completed jobs occasionally requiring extra fuel/power/AE energy before output could be inserted, or being cancelled by a queue-selection change first.
• Reduced per-tick server load for terminal statistics and recipe-preview lookups.
• Added survival crafting recipes and recipe-book advancements for every tier of every machine.
• Added automated tests for processing math (fractional lava consumption, output-target limits).
