✨ New Content & Items
Golden Beef: Premium Cows now have a chance to yield an exclusive new food item: Golden Beef, which replaces the previous Golden Apple drop. This rare meat can be cooked into Cooked Golden Beef, that grants massive nutrition, Regeneration, and Absorption, and can be eaten even when your hunger bar is completely full!
Chicken Nests: Hens now require a proper Chicken Nest to lay their eggs and hatch new chicks. Nests can be crafted using trapdoors, sticks and hay block.
🧬 Genetics & Breeding Overhaul
Ancestry Tracking: The mod now actively tracks animal lineage. Whenever animals breed, the offspring's generation count naturally advances.
Inbreeding Penalties (Genetic Degradation): Breeding closely related animals now carries steep penalties. Inbred offspring have a much higher risk of developing negative mutations, such as reduced constitution or a slower growth rate. Players will need to actively diversify their gene pool by trading with other farms or introducing wild animals to their herds!
⏳ Dynamic Gestation & Incubation
Species-Specific Gestation: Pregnancy is no longer hardcoded to a flat 24,000 ticks (one in-game day) for all animals. Gestation times are now fully dynamic based on the species. For example, cows now require three full in-game days to give birth.
Nest Incubation Cycle: Eggs safely deposited in a Chicken Nest will now undergo a realistic 1 to 2 day incubation cycle before hatching.
Hatch Survival Rates: To help optimize performance and prevent entity explosions in mega-farms, eggs in nests no longer have a 100% guaranteed hatch rate.
Manual Egg Collection: If you prefer omelets over chicks, you can manually collect an incubating egg from a nest before it hatches to receive a standard, edible vanilla egg.
🧠 AI & Pathfinding Improvements
Strict Enclosure Pathfinding: Animals are now much smarter about locating resources! They will actively verify if a path is physically reachable before attempting to claim feeding troughs, brushing posts, or chicken nests. This prevents animals from endlessly walking into fences trying to access blocks in adjacent pens.
