Re:Path
This datapack rebalances progression, resources, and crafting by shifting smelting mechanics, tool tiers, and potion accessibility to encourage a more survival-focused gameplay
This datapack overhauls core Minecraft progression by replacing the stone tier with an improved wooden tier, adjusting ore processing to use nuggets in furnaces and ingots in blast furnaces, and modifying resource acquisition such as raw ore drops and clay smelting. It also introduces new crafting interactions like turtle scutes for lime shulker boxes, blaze rods converting to blaze powder via campfires, and spyglass recipes with glass. Additionally, potion brewing has been shifted from the Nether to the Overworld, with new world generation tweaks like nether wart spawning in ruined portals, making survival gameplay more challenging and rewarding.
Feature / Mechanic Change Description
Tool progression Removed stone tool tier and replaced it with an enhanced wooden tier.
Ore smelting (furnace) Smelting ores in the furnace now outputs nuggets instead of ingots.

Iron & Gold ore drops Iron and gold ores now drop 1–3 raw ores (fixed range, not Fortune-dependent) instead of raw ore items.
Nether wart generation Nether wart can now generate in ruined portal structures.
Breeze rod → Blaze rod Placing a breeze rod on a campfire converts it into blaze rod.
Turtle scute crafting A turtle scute can be used in crafting to obtain a lime shulker box.
Clay smelting (blast furnace) Clay can be smelted in a blast furnace to produce bricks.
Spyglass recipe Spyglass is now crafted with glass instead of amethyst shards.
Potion brewing Brewing system relocated from the Nether to the Overworld to increase potion usage frequency.
