Elkonia: Fast Happy Ghasts
Happy ghasts fly twice as fast, and the harness colour is the throttle. Splash potions, snowball boosts, and a speed penalty for cargo.
Elkonia: Fast Happy Ghasts 26.2.2.0.2
Список изменений
First public release. Every happy ghast flies at least twice as fast as vanilla — and the harness colour is now a throttle.
What's in it
- 2× baseline. Every happy ghast, on new and existing worlds, with nothing to enable and nothing to craft.
- Harness colour = throttle. Red/orange 4×, yellow/pink/magenta 3×, lime/green/purple 2.5×, white/brown/light blue/cyan 2×, blue/light gray 1.8×, black/gray 1.6×. All sixteen colours are mapped.
- Splash Potion of Swiftness. Vanilla happy ghasts ignore Speed entirely — here they don't. +50% for Swiftness I, +100% for II, for exactly as long as the potion lasts.
- Snowballs. Feed a harnessed ghast a snowball for 60 seconds of extra speed. Stacks to a five-minute cap, one snowball each.
- Cargo slows you down. Extra passengers and towing on a lead each cost speed — but even a black harness with four riders and a boat in tow is still faster than vanilla. That's a guarantee, not an accident.
Stack it all — red harness, Swiftness II, fresh snowball, flying solo — and you top out at 6× vanilla.
Notes
The throttle isn't running code: it's an attribute component on the harness item, so the game applies and removes it. Recolour or shear it off and the change is instant, even with the pack's loop disabled.
Nothing polls every tick. It reacts to equipping a harness, mounting, and feeding — a parked ghast costs nothing.
Requires Minecraft 26.2. Vanilla, server-side, no mods or loaders.
Removing it
Run /function fast_happy_ghasts:admin/uninstall before deleting the pack — speed is stored on the ghasts themselves, so deleting the datapack alone would leave them fast forever.
